3 Simple And Effective Soccer Coaching Drills

It’s unbelievable how some coaches ignore passing drills during the soccer coaching drills. In soccer, passing the ball is the most vital thing to master because it’s the only skill that will help you become a match winner. There are several games and interesting activities that can be introduced in youth soccer drills that go a long way in improving the passing skills of the boys.

Educate them about the basics: Begin with the elementary steps. Break the team up into two and give a ball to each team. Tell them to practice passing the ball within themselves.

This activity offers the players, the opportunity to identify their strong and weak points. What’s more, you’ll find out the ability of each player in passing the ball. It allows you to have an easy assessment of every team member’s development.

The Moving Circle: There are a lot of games that help players learn effective passing. There is one soccer coaching drill where all players create a circle except for two people who stay inside it.

Now players creating the circle start throwing the ball to each other and those inside will try and capture the ball. Once the ball is captured by either of the two players, he is replaced by any member creating the circle and so on. A great feature of these soccer practice drills is that they introduce an element of fun along with learning and practice.
