Constructive Living in Balance

The world is in a geological moment of crisis with the human footprint looming so indelibly large over the history of the planet.  In a few short years, meaning a mere century or more, our waste and abuse of the petroleum deposits from another world long since gone.  We need to retrofit our homes and offices with composite materials and change the way we need and consume energy in our residence and in our workplace.  This is a big choice for human kind.

The way we live our lives is a simple change if only we can embrace both the basic needs of our society and of our earth.  We need to change the structural design of our buildings and other useful structures that we have taken for granted over the cheap easily obtained oil.  Life on earth will require us to return us to a deep and profound sense of balance with our nature and our response to the nature of terrestrial existence.  Living and breathing do not need to be so destructive to our planet.  We need to embrace our planet because there really isn’t another suitable planet nearby for us to move to.

Hopey Changey Stuff

The new American way is to change and explore with your life.  Staying the course with a career does not seem to satisfy the desire to live and grow.  The main thing that seems to drive the next generation is a constant search for job hunting tips.  Finding another job is the new favorite state of being.

A long and stable friendship with an employment recruiter is the best strategy for the happy-go-lucky thirty-something in the early 21st century.  The choices that we make are the stuff of stories.  Change is a good thing, a positive thing in a world of flux.  The idea that we are constantly defining ourselves is an alluring model of existence.

When the stories are all told and the night is still young is a tremendously satisfying experience to have when you are still young and vital.  Being open to change is an opportunity that we can all embrace.  Be happy and always open your eyes, ears, and heart to the person that you can become.  This is the way of the future and this is the way of happiness.
